The star is made up of 5 bullet-node type pixels (WS3811s) that were hot-glued into the star. Used some GE Silicone II to seal up all the unprotected connection. The spiral tree used to be lined with incandescent mini lights. It was used for 5 seasons before I began animating the show. The whole grove of spiral trees were retired in 2008, and now this year they will be re-introduced. What an awesome effect!</p>
