In this hands-on session, we dive into the fundamentals of submodeling in xLights using a brand-new prop released by Boscoyo Studios—revealed live during the class. The first 20–25 minutes focus on the core submodel process, walking step-by-step through how to create clean, usable submodels that give you greater control and flexibility when sequencing.
From about the 25–35 minute mark, we move into grouping strategies and live output-to-lights testing with the real prop, demonstrating how proper setup translates directly into better mapping and cleaner visual results. The remainder of the class is dedicated to answering questions from attendees, followed by an extended discussion that continued well beyond the scheduled time—digging deeper into real-world applications, troubleshooting, and workflow tips.
