EDIT IMAGES AND REMOVE BACKGROUNDS FOR USE IN XLIGHTS (PAINT 3D)

Do you have an image that you want to place on your matrix or mega tree?  And you are wondering how if you could remove the background and make it transparent? Watch this video and learn how to use Microsoft Paint 3D to clear out the background.

This tips and tricks video is a step-by-step tutorial on how you can easily remove the background of any image or photo for your custom xLight design. The tips are particularly suitable for images with complex backgrounds that may have proven difficult to process in xLights’ Blending Mode via the Transparent Slider Setting.

At the beginning of this video, you have a basic drawing that overlays a butterfly effect. Typically, the only way that you can bring the butterfly effect into this picture as far as normal blending mode allows is that you go through all of xLights’ different blending modes until you get something cool. In which case, you would need to suppress the black, and turn it into an open area that would allow the effect to show through. Unfortunately, this is more of a purplish color (not black) so it's not doing it very well.

Perhaps you or someone that you know is confronted with a similar situation, or you find yourself in one, sometime in the future. This video shows you exactly what to do.

In this video, you will learn step-by-step hands-on tips on how you can physically remove the background of any image of your choice using a simple Windows tool (Microsoft Paint 3D).
